Description: Polygons that represent the extent of soil classifications or types. A subset of soils data from the Natural Resources Conservation Service SSURGO data. This feature class displays all of the soils in Washtenaw County. It has been developed to meet the needs of mapping and analysis by Washtenaw County employees and citizens. This data was obtained from the Natural Resource Conservation Service, Department of Agriculture Soil Survey then attributed accordingly, using relevant corresponding tables and data from the soil survey. This is a SSURGO class dataset (Soil Survey Geographic) The SSURGO database provides the most detailed level of information and was designed primarily for farm and ranch, landowner/user, township, county, or parish natural resource planning and management.http://soildatamart.nrcs.usda.gov/This data supports a definition query which can be used to uniquely display soil delineation in a defined area of interest.
